Milarky: Capital Patched Members

Capital Patched Members is Milarky's first solo exhibition in the capital city of New Zealand. This will be his fifth solo exhibition, having exhibited predominantly in his home town of New Plymouth, though he has shown internationally in places such as Canada, Paris, Indonesia, and Hawaii.
Capital Patched Members is a Collection of 33 works, encompassing the various series that Milarky has worked on over the last two years.
The works are predominately works on paper, though canvas and sculpture work will be included. Milarky will also be painting an artwork directly onto the wall within the gallery.
'Milarky believes if you have a voice, you better have something to say, and as such there is a lot of reasons and depth within the compositions and content, often this is reserved for the creation of the works and not such an important aspect of the finished presentation; being an artwork should be what the viewer perceives and not what the artist pushes on them.'
Milarky is a New Zealand street artist, painter, videographer and environmental warrior. Exhibiting since 2010 in street art festivals in New Zealand, Australia and Canada. Milarky is active in spontaneous projects as well as street art commissions. Milarky is a recent addition to Solander Gallery’s stable of artists and is will be exhibiting a suite of spray and acrylic pigment works featuring characters that wear the Milarky Side gang patch.
