Workshops

As part of our commitment to the promotion of unique and quality hand made works, we offer a range of workshops across the mediums of Printmaking, Drawing and Bookbinding.

Our goal is to encourage the development of new skills and techniques within a friendly and supportive environment. Most of our workshops are designed for the beginner and the enthusiast, with some workshops offered as Master Classes with established artists.

Workshops for 2012

Drypoint Etching with Graham Hall

Sunday 4 March 9.30am to 4pm

One of our most experienced printmaking tutors; Graham will introduce participants to this popular and direct etching technique. A variety of skills will be taught on the day with each participant going home with a small edition of prints from the plate they have created.

Photopolymer Printmaking (Solar Plate) with Jacqueline Aust

Sunday 22 April 9.30am to 4pm

Artist Jacqueline Aust presents this exciting low toxic printmaking technique using the Solar Plate photo/light sensitive plates. A range of direct drawing techniques and photographic imagery can all be incorporated into this easy method.

Collagraph Printmaking with Vincent Drane

Sunday 20 May 9.30am to 4pm

This one-day workshop will explore the simple yet effective process of collagraph printmaking. Based on the collaging of textures to create a surface for printing, this technique is great for those with an interest in texture and colour.

Workshop Bookings

All workshops are $140.00 including all materials and equipment you will need for the day. Places are limited to a maximium of eight participants so booking is essential. A deposit of $70.00 is required to secure your place and can be paid by direct deposit or here in the gallery.

Our workshops are designed for the complete beginner as well as the more experienced artist.

All workshops take place in the gallery which is an ideal setting to unleash your creativity. We suggest participants wear comfortable shoes and an apron suitable for use with inks.
