David Sarich

Much of David's work is concerned with ideas of journey, prophecy and connection to particular places and their stories. There is a constant intertwining of the personal and the historical, narrative and symbol.

Davids new works on paper has result from research done in conjunction with his partner Faith McManus. As Faith has searched for the 1926 film Riders of the Red Manuka and sought to identify the people involved David have become interested in the particular places that were documented in the still photographs by Arthur Northwood.
