Australian artist Dean Bowen is based in Melbourne. He has been exhibiting paintings, bronze sculpture and prints for over twenty years and his works are represented in over 70 national and international collections including, National Gallery of Australia, Canberra; Parliament House Art Collection, Canberra; Artbank; Art Gallery of NSW and Deutsche Bank, Geneva Switzerland. He has held solo exhibitions in Australia, France, Japan, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.

Dean Bowen has developed his own artistic language. Comical and endearing characters grace the surface with their distinctly graphic, simple and child-like style, dealing with both the whimsical and the absurd. By drawing upon his imagination, he manipulates the materiality of paint, ink or found objects, bringing to life vibrant works that have a distinctly graphic style.
